FRITZ T. MARTH ELECTED USASA REGION 1 DIRECTOR
Updated: 02/17/2010 at 5:17 PM
Former Cosmopolitan Soccer League executive board member, Fritz T. Marth, was elected the USASA Region One (Eastern Region) Director at the US Soccer Federation Annual General Meeting on February 5, 2010 in New Orleans. Fritz had previously served as the Deputy Director for Region One. The immediate previous regional director, Richard Groff, was elected the President of USASA at the AGM.
In addition to serving as a trustee on league's executive board in the 1990s, Fritz had previously coached in the CSL for Hoboken FC 1912. Fritz's father, the late Fritz L. Marth, served as Region One Director from 1981 to 1983, at which time he became employed full-time for USASA until the time of his passing in 2002.
The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) is the governing body of amateur adult soccer in the United States and is made up of four regions. Local state associations such as ENYSASA and NJSA are members of USASA.
